A FEMALE teacher has quit in disgrace after a dad said he caught her romping with his 13-year-old child in the back seat of a car.
Rachel Gonzalez, 44, faces sex charges after the alleged session in a car parked in a residential street during the Christmas holidays.
Cops launched a probe after the underage student’s stunned dad tipped off school officials.
And Ms Gonazlez was arrested when conversations about their sexual relationship were found on the teen’s phone, said police.
She has been charged with improper relationship between an educator and pupil and online solicitation of a minor in Bay City, Texas.
The pupil’s gender has not been confirmed by police, but local media have reported the youngster as “male.”
The dad is said to have caught Gonzalez having sex with his child on December 14.
He reported her to Bay City High School police who turned the case over to the city’s cops.
A spokesman said: “During the investigation detectives got a search warrant to seize and access the phone belonging to the victim.
“They were able to locate evidence indicating there was an improper relationship and detectives requested warrants for the arrest of Gonzalez.”

Bay City Independent School District Board of Trustees President Bob Klepac said officials notified police of the relationship quickly.
He said: “I cannot provide additional information at this time that could possibly compromise the legal process underway or the safety and well-being of students.
“But I want to assure our parents and community that student welfare is our top priority.
“We are committed to providing a safe school environment for students and staff.”
Gonzales was booked in to Matagorda County Jail before being freed on bail.
