A Pepperell Middle School teacher has arrested for misconduct with a student following an investigation that showed he was
using social media to message obscene pictures to students. School officials received information about possible inappropriate contact between a teacher and a student on Monday and contacted the Floyd County Police Department. Investigators subsequently discovered that 28-year-old Anthony Hicks of Rome was using social media and text messages to communicate with a student.
As a result of the investigation, arrest warrants were issued for Hicks. The teacher facing several charges which include Child Molestation, Sexual Assault by a Teacher, Obscene Internet Contact with a Child, Possession of Material Depicting a Minor in Sexually Explicit Conduct, and Electronically Furnishing Obscene Material to a Child.
